#Multivalue error with merged dimension

Hello Experts,

 

I have a report which has two queries 1 and 2. Query 1 has Year,Month,DB,UserID and NOQ(measure) obejcts. Query 2 has User ID and Username Objects.

 

The requirement is to display Username along with UserID and other objects in Query 1.

 

I have merged UserID from both queries and the merged object is named as "LANID" and non merged dimensions are created as Detail Objects for year month and DB with associated dimension as LANID.

 

If I drag year-detail,month-detail,DB-detail,UserID (from LANID) and Username,I get #MULTIVALUE error in  month column for User IDs which have multiple records for the same year,different months and same DB.

 

I came across a similar thread,http://www.forumtopics.com/busobj/viewtopic.php?p=856502 where Dave Rathbun mentions that merged dimensions work only where there is unique record or same level of granularity between two dataproviders which is not the case here.

 

Request you to share any workarounds (asap) to achieve this.

report format when exported to excel.

Hi All,

 

I have a webi report where in page setup i have set scale to 60% and page as landscape and A3. when i export this report to excel and in print preview of excel i see page as landscape A3 Width height everything same as in webi but scale is 100%. when i have set scale to 60% in webi report. the excel must also take the scaling value automatically. right?

 

we are on bi 4.0 sp6 patch1

Login Failed in Webi Rich Client

Hi all,

 

I am facing a problem on my client machine i have installed webi rich client and when i am logging in it using my credentials (Enterprise or Windows AD) it shows an error message of Login Failure on other client machines i am able to log in but the issue is with my machine only, Why?

 

Additionally on BI launch pad i am able to log in (Both Enterprise and Winad)

 

Any help/suggestion will be appreciated!

Pass Multiple Prompt Values Dynamically in a Publication

Hello

I have a dynamic list for list for my Publications of a Web Intelligence Document. The dynamic list has the following columns names

ID

Name

Email

Zone

and the Web Intelligence document has the columns:

Zone

Sales Value

 

I can't use Profiles because some of the recipients in the dynamic list do not have a BOE account

 

Lets say I use the following values

ID = 1   

Name = Sally 

Email = Sally@mytown.com

Zone = USA

 

This works fine and if I change the value of the Zone to another single value, (maybe Sally has been reallocated to a different Sales Region) for example:

ID = 1   

Name = Sally 

Email = Sally@mytown.com

Zone = UK

 

then this also works fine and the output from the Publication shows the correct value.

 

However, when I try and do the following, I run into problems:

ID = 1   

Name = Sally 

Email = Sally@mytown.com

Zone = USA;UK

 

The resultant output is blank!!! The prompt that is in my document that I want to burst is set to optional. I've tried using:

semicolons: for example USA;UK

commas: for example USA,UK

brackets and semicolons: for example (USA;UK)

brackets and commas: for example (USA,UK)

 

but nothing works and the resultant output is empty

 

Also, passing in a blank value for the optional prompt to return everything but this does not work either and the resultant output is empty.

 

I can't believe that this is not possible and would welcome any suggestions.

Query builder query

I want to query different way and want to get data

Is there a way I can write query and get following information SI_MAIL_ADDRESSES which is under

 

SI_DESTINATIONS>>SI_DEST_SCHEDULEOPTIONS>>SI_MAIL_ADDRESSES

and email id id of person to whom report is schedule to go

 

I use following query but emailed info is not appearing. If I use select * from then it comes but query output look very horrible can't use. Can any body help?

Installation Requirements for SAP BusinessObjects Business Intelligence platform 4.1

Hell experts,

 

I need to know if i can install  SAP BOBI 4.1   ( 30 day Trial  Version ) on my following  machines

 

OS- Windows 7 Professional

RAM: 4GB

HD-  (available 98 GB)  ( 2nd machine has 300 GB available)

 

already installed BO 3.1 SP3  client tools only. on one mahcine

and second machine has both CMC/UD/Webi

-------------------

 

now question is :

can i install this trail version on either of these machine which have already SAP BO 3.1 version installed. ?

 

Do i need to remove 3.1 ? or i can install top of it. ?

Hi,

 

I am trying to create a Webi report based on an OLAP Universe. I did the following:

 

1. I have setup a databse connection for SAP SSM via the create connection wizard in the Universe Design Tool. My connection is created sucessfully.

2. Next I created a Universe saved it and exported it.

3. In webi I am trying to create a report, I selected a couple of measures in the "results objects" section. In the qurey filters section I selected month.

When I run this query, I am getting an error message: Database error: Failed to execute MDX query. Reason: returned server error (). (IES 10901) (WIS 10901).

 

Any help is very much appricated.

Pie Chart Functionality in Webi

Hello Experts,

We have a requirement for a webi pie chart, where we are trying to show multiple measures and category values (dimension) which doesn't even exist in universe. To elaborate, below is the excel screenshot where we are trying to show "Profit %" and "Loss %" on a pie chart. As I said, Profit % and Loss % are not coming from a dimension and their respective values are coming from two measures. As far as I know, webi pie charts are not capable of implementing this functionality and they accept only straight dimension and a single measure.

 

Please let me know if there is a way to implement this in webi. I am also thinking of another way, which is as follows.....

 

create a cross tab table in webi with "Profit %" and "Loss %" values only (shown in green color below) and then create a wsdl url and consume it dashboards 4.0 and implement required functionality in dashboards 4.0 (which I think is highly possible in dashboards) and then import/bring that dashboard visualization (pie chart) into webi and show it.

 

This approach looks like a complex process to implement and maintain just for two rows of data.

 

Let me know if there is a workaround to implement in webi itself. If not please let me know the best way (detailed process) to implement this webi-dashboard functionality.

lastexecutiontime without GMT + 5:30is

HI friends,

 

here I am using a function

 

="Last Refresh : "+ToDate(LastExecutionDate();"dd/MM/yy")+" "+LastExecutionTime()

 

for example this will give a result Last Refresh : 8/5/14 12:27:03 AM GMT + 5:30

 

but we don't want to display GMT + 5:30.

 

How can I do this i can make it with a new cell by LastExecutionTime()

but I don't want to create a new cell because of some alignment issues


Please anybody give me a solution to achieve this in one empty cell.

document not found Error.do page

We have requirement from buisness where if user is not authorized to
see a webi, they get annoying document not found page. The business
wouldl ike to have a link these taking them to security page or little
more readable message. I have attached screenshot with page... is it
possible if we can customize that page. It seems it goes to error.do

Dear Team,

 

I need to collect different report names

 

For eg: for Retail Industry: (1)profit report (2) losses report (3) Daily report (4) monthly Report (5) Quarterly report (6) Yearly Report and many more names i want

 

Similarly i want for Petroleum Industry.

 

 

I will be more thankful If i get fields names along with that report such as  For PROFIT = Selling price field -  Cost price field.

 

If you have any material or links along with schema. pls do share...

WEBI 4.0: Inconsistency of subquery defined in report

Hi,

 

I am facing very weird issue with the subquery defined in the report. I have two data providers in report having similar filter criteria but during runtime the condidtions define under subquery of first data provider comes out of the subquery panel automatically whenever report is refreshed. But the same doesn't happens for the second data provider, though both have the same filter/subquery conditions. Is there any setting which needs to be done for this.

 

I am working on BO 4.0 Patch 11.

 

Please suggest me what needs to be done to resolve this issue if any one has come across this kind of issue.

facing issue in implementing Cascading Prompt in BO 4.1

Hi All,

 

We are working on a SAP Business Objects 4.1 SP1  .We are facing issue in implementing Cascading Prompt

 

 

We followed the below steps to implement at universe level

 

Hierarchy :

 

  1. Countryà Region à State à City

 

We created List of Values based on Business Layer  for Country ,Region ,state and City  and Corresponding Prompt Parameter for the same.

 

 

 

Cascading prompt works at universe level .When we use the City  objects in webi to create cascading Prompt .Lov is not displaying for Region (child prompt) in webi and same works in Universe level.Let us know if  anyone  have work around on this/any other approach.It works in rich client not in HTML mode

Row By Row Operation

Hi experts,

 

I stuck in a issue for webi report, i want to know if we can perform row by row operation in webi.

 

Problem:

 

My Formula for calculation delay is

delay =

=Sum([DurationATEDL_new]-[ExpectedDurationEDL_new])

Where ([DurationATEDL_new]>[ExpectedDurationEDL_new])

 

I am displaying values in the table like

 

Company Code       Division     DurationATEDL_new]   ExpectedDurationEDL_new    Delay

ABC                         DEF           42                                 23                                           19

 

I am getting correct values for i.e 42 and 23 but 19 is not the correct value for me. What i want to do is to apply row by row or for every ID operation on delay column to check if durationAtEDL > ExpectedDuration EDl then sum the delay and display values. but currently what it is doing is simply subtracting 42 - 23 = 19......

 

ExpectedDurationEDL_new  =([Expected Duration in(1)]/[RequestRows]) Where ([ClosedRequests]=[SP Request ID (ZTM_IS_K6___F2)] And [Current Node/Stage C (ZTM_IS_K6___F88)]="EDL")                                      

 

DurationATEDL_new=(([Durartion]*[RequestRows])/[RequestRows]) Where (([ClosedRequests]=[SP Request ID (ZTM_IS_K6___F2)]) And [Current Node/Stage C (ZTM_IS_K6___F88)]="EDL")

 

 

what should i change in my delay formula to achieve subtraction sum on the basis of each id and condition if exp duration < duration???

WeBI 4.x: Create a Hyperlink to navigate to view the record on BYD System

Hi Team,

 

Need assistance on creating a hyperlink to surpass the sso prompt and open the record directly from the Top 10 Accounts report.

 

Currently the hyperlink requires the user to enter the login credentials for the first time to view the account record.

 

Need the hyperlink to surpass the sso prompt to auto detect the credentials and open the record.

how to populate null values as blank in cell

Hi All,

 

I have an query i have data like blow

 

qtrdata
1Q-4Q 20094,069,379
1Q-4Q 20103,979,490

 

 

and i want result like below

 

1Q-4Q 20094,069,379
% Change-2%
1Q-4Q 20103,979,490

 

for % age change i have applied the previous function

formula is (data/previous(data)) -1*100

 

but is coming like below

 

% Change0%
1Q-4Q 20094,069,379
% Change-2%
1Q-4Q 20103,979,490

 

for the 1 column i am getting 0% age due to i applied previous function but i don't have data for 2008

 

so i am trying  not to populate 0% for the % change before 2009


I have checked with null value 


If (IsNull(Previous [data])) then "" else ([data]/previous[data]) -1*100

so it is populating blanck value but i can not formatting the values as %age


please suggest 

how can i solve this issue please advice
