WEBI table breaks summing incorrectly!

I have the need to show sub-totals in breaks in several reports. The data source is a BEx query via BICS. Some reports use hierarchies; these reports do not SUM correctly in both the individual breaks as well as the table as a whole unless the hierarchy is rolled up to the highest level. If you have drilled down one level the SUMs double. IF you drill down again the SUMs increase by the amount displayed and so on.

 

What am I doing wrong?

 

Here is the top level showing the correct SUM:

After one drill down the following is the displayed:

Notice that the SUM has doubled; this is not correct.

Webi 4.1 - Mysterious line across Chart Plot Area

Hi,

 

I designed a stacked bar chart a while ago and noticed when I click on any part of the plot area, a horizontal line is drawn across the plot area along with the data info on one of the columns.  I want to turn this feature off because it causes the mouse over data on the columns to be incorrect.

 

Is anyone familiar with this feature and how to turn it off.  I've looked at every chart option and I can't figure out which one it is.  Thanks!

Pass only Selected Fields

HI All,

 

Actually we have have 10 columns and among them

 

I had used break option and Summarized fields

 

 

Now among 10  Columns

 


 break By Country



out put should be 


Country  sum of sales




i have to select these two columns make it as a QAAS Link to create dash Board



Please advise How to select County Column and Sum of Sales Column only in the Webi Report



i f i am taking out the remaining Columns then the sum of sales data is changing

Is it possible to download reports saved as pdf's from mobile apps in ipads?

Hi,

 

I had developed a mobile version of a webi dashboard and was under the impression that reports saved as pdf's could be downloaded on the mobile device, iphone or ipad.

I have a linked report which is displayed in a pdf format by design in webi. When I see the report through an ipad, it shows up the pdf format which is alright. Clicking the gear shaped icon on the top of the screen, I see an option to download the file. I click on it, nothing really happens.

 

To see if the report got downloaded in the pdf format or not, I check the pdf documents in iBooks and I don't see anything.

Has anyone been successful downloading pdf reports in ipads or iphones ?

 

Any help will be highly appreciated!

How can i create a Balance sheet report with data sets in Webi

Experts,

I have a requirement to create a balance sheet report in Webi. The report is sitting on a Universe which is currently build. The BW version of the report is hierarchical, i.e each Set has a GL account set attached to it. All the dimensions and subsets (Assets,Liabilities and Owner Equities) are listed in one column in the view. What I have done so far is listed below..

1. I have been able to group assets into buckets in webi with the help of an IF statement variable I created(I am still working on the assets part), and applied breaks on the columns. It seems to break fine, but I am unable to individual rename the rows for the sub-total of each break without it showing on the other ones.

 

2. Is it possible to split the the remaining values(for Liabilities and owner equities) in the column from the assets grouping or better still how do i add another grouping for liabilities and owner equities on the same column. I intend to use outline to display the report once its done, but i am having challenges formatting the report with breaks the way i want it

 

3. If anyone has created a balance sheet in webi sitting on a relational universe in the past, pls pls i need your expertise on how best to achieve this, whether adding to what I have laid out above or even giving a totally new approach, I would appreciate it immensely.

Hi

 

Recently we grated to SAP BI 4.1 SP5 patch 5.

In production i am trying to run the large reports (larger in size takes more time to run) giving this error but i am not the getting the error for smaller reports.

 

I tried with both UNV and UNX universes using BI launch Pad but am getting this error

"An internal error occurred while calling 'processDPCommandsEx' API.

(Error: ERR_WIS_30270) (Error: INF)".

 

We are using blackened as Oracle 11.

 

Please any one can suggest how to resolve this.

Issue exporting to CSV in Webi

Hi All,

 

In webi, we are displaying other language data like Chinese in one of the columns and while exporting the report output to .CSV, I could see junk characters, etc., but not the Chinese letters.  Is there any workaround for it.

Hi

 

I am trying to run the reports in Production but i am getting the error like " Your session time out.Please close the java interface and log on again".

After that i log out from the session and log in then again i tried to run the reports but still i am facing this issue.

Small reports are working good but larger reports only i am getting this issue.

 

Can any one suggest how to fix this issue.

Hello,

 

I am having a problem setting up a report in Web Intelligence and hopefully you may be able to help.

 

I want to find out whether people who start using our dervices continue to do so after a certain number of months. I have set up two queries, one which pulls through a list of all the account numbers that were created this year, whcih gives me the number of of new users.

 

The second query takes those barcodes and finds whether they have used our services within each month after they joined. Both tables have the users age in them so we can break down the results by age group.

 

I can set up tables to showe how many new joiners we have for each age group, and also a table to show how many people from each age group used our services within each month. However I can't combine the two to show how many people started an account but then didn't use our services.

 

Ideally I want a table headings laid out as:

 

Age Group     New Accounts     Active After 1 Month     Active after 2 months     Active after 3 months etc

 

 

So I can get the New accounts by age group and the active users by age group but can't combine them as I lose the information for everyone who has opened an account but no used it.

 

Any suggestions?

In the connectionserver_xxx_trace.0000001.glf, I have this message :

 

[CS] CS Fatal Error during CS initialization: Bad Installation

Uncaught Exception in SilentScope: [CS] ServerInitialization::InitManager::Initialize: 0.002

The CS initialization failed within the CS server. Aborting.

 

This is not a new installation.

 

Any idea ?

Webi report returns no data

Hi,

 

One of my user is running a cross tab webi report.He can see the data in the report.

Now when i refresh the report , it returns blank report.I checked the Universe and there is no Row level security implemented.

When i click on "Structure" its shows that the objects and variables are mapped with the report rows/columns.


Now for testing purpose i added a new tab and dragged the objects and the data displayed in the report.Now i saved this as a new report(With Different name) and when reopened again all the tabs of the report shows blank.

 

If any one has faced similar issue then please help me out.

Report executes in Rich Client but not via Launchpad

Hello,

 

I am on 4.1 SP5. I have a report that executes perfectly in Webi rich client within 10 seconds. I save this report, run this via launchpad, the report takes forever to run. The backend is Oracle. Are there any settings I should be looking at? Please let me know if I can provide more information.

Duplicate records for Vendor ID in Webi report

Dear Experts,

 

 

We have developed Webi report based on relational Universe(unx) in BI 4.1 version and the datasource is Oracle.

 

In webi report I am getting duplicate records for some Vendor Id's, but for other Vendor Id's I am getting single reocrd only and exactly matching with Database.

BEx mandatory prompts are not working in Webi ???

Dear All,

 

I have strange issue of dealing with prompts. I have created bex query with three prompts  company code, plant & zperiod. Intially i have kept all three promts as a mandatory in bw and took them into the webi. Except company code both & not working. When i tried with company code & period, company code is working and period is not working. I tried to remove the prompt in bw bex level and tried to create them in webi still i am facing issue with the period. I am getting into the loop to resolve this issue. kindly help me out on this.

Transfer photos from SAP HR to SAP BW/SAP BO?

Hi everyone,

 

I have a HR report called "Employee List" in BO Webi 4.1. I would like to add a coloumn contains employee's photos.

 

List of photos are kept in SAP ERP DB as binary structure.

 

How can I transfer photos  from DB to BW or directly BO?

 

Which methods are required? Which steps should be followed?

implement the count function in webi as per crystal reports count formula

I have to implement the below formula from a Crystal Report in a webi report.

Please help me on how to implement the same in a webi report.  I am using BO 4.0 infoview client.

Hi,

 

I have a requirement to set limit for ~WebIntelligence folder in Favorites for all users Globally.

 

Instead of setting limit for each user for ~WebIntelligence folder in Favorites , do we have any option available in CMC to set it globally for all the users?

 

Environment: BO XIR3.1
