Hi,
I have to create a report to show values between two selected dates.
User select start date and end date and the report should show records between those dates.
My objects are country name, and departure date.
For example - start date selected is 2/5/2013 and end date is 3/5/2013, then the report should display country names between these dates.
Any help appreciated.

I know, why would we want to?
Our business users would like to see the list ordered and first select from a range and drill down.
Any query in information design tool already does this as well as the preview values for the LOV object.
Is there a way to make large LOV function this way in webi query/report?
If not, is there a way to move beyond the warning of 'Partial list'?
if taht's not possible,can I do it from a stored procedure based Universe or with a derived table? Does BusinessObjects in general allow me to execute statements to insert data in my database?
Dear gurus,
I have created measure object based on 5 measure and summed it inside the variable.
Although it shows the right value on IDTs query panel at report creation step on WebI the variable is empty.
There are not many object, no filter at query side and front side.
I don't know at what side I should investigate the issue.

I have to create a report pulling cases worked based on shift. Input variable will be based on dates between, say for the month of March. I'm looking to base the query on completion date. Shifts are Mon 7pm - Fri 7am, Tue 7am - Fri 7pm, Fri 7pm - Mon 7am, and Sat 7am - Mon 7pm.
I'm new to Web Intelligence and I am having trouble figuring out how to add this. I already have the basic query pulling all the info, I just don't know how to have WI break this out for me. Any help would be greatly appreciated. If you need more info I will be happy to provide.

Hello All,
I am facing an issue while executing a webtemplate .
I have a webtemplate which is being executed by end user, upon execution user must be able to fill in the value for data and submit. The query uses a characteristic KPI identifier ,SBU,BU,product, Region,Affiliate etc . All the mentioned charcaterisitics in Analysis authorization have * value except KPI identifier and SBU. And Activity 02,03 is provided for the infoprovider.
When a single value (Ex:KPI01) is provided in KPI identifier the webtemplate works fine in change mode. But when additonal value (Ex KPI02) is being added to the characterstic KPI identifier the webtemplate opens only in display mode. There is no authorization failure as well in the RSEC trace.
Actually we created two separate roles for each KPI identifier earlier but when two roles provided to a user in combination it was behaving the way i mentioned above. So we tried to create a single role with two values of KPI Identifier in single analysis authorization and it is still the same.
Please suggest what might be the reason for this behavior. Thank you

I am using SAP BO4.0.I have made one open doc URL which links one report to another.While linking there is one extra parameter which have been added, means the linking in the first report is done for a prompt that is not present in the second report.Still, the linking works properly with the correct parameters being passed and I can navigate from one report to another.So I have come to a conclusion that if the prompt is not present in the second report that prompt is ignored in the first report(on which linking to the second report is present). Has anyone come across such a situation.

Parse Failed: Invalid definition (UNV0023). Error parsing mono/multi parameter (7th parameter).

Hello Gurus,
I have a requirement to create universe on top of BW reports to create Lumira reports. But, I have read somewhere that we cant create universe on top of BEX queries using IDT (.unx), but I believe Lumira supports only (.unx). My BO server is 4.0. Is there any way to create .unx universe on top of BEX queries? Is it possible through upgrading the BO server or IDT ? Please help.

There are multiple tables on a tab in report.One table has filter as "<Object name> + Table 1.1".
I am not having Table1.1 on the tab as shown in the left pane in screenshot.

BO Auditing (4.0) saves time in GMT timezone. I created a new dimension in IDT to convert GMT into US Eastern Time.
New_Time(time, ‘GMT’, ‘EST’)
This worked fine until the daylight savings time kicked in on March 8. Starting March 9, my time is an hour behind.
Using ‘EDT’ in the above statement gives the right time during summer.
New_Time(time, ‘GMT’, ‘EDT’)
EDT(Eastern Daylight Time) November 3 – March 8
EST(eastern standard time) rest of the year
My question: Is there a way to dynamically change the time zone that incorporates day light savings time.
Environment: BO4.0., Auditor db: Oracle.
