Webi report issue after promoted in QA

Hi ,

 

Using promotion manager, imported all content into QA, uer group, folder with dependencies, webi report with universe and connections. We have good configuration in development system and based on the testing in development we were so confident that all should work in QA . But after importing LCMBIAR file in to QA. We are unable to open with the user belongs to same user group which worked in DEV. getting issue .

 

Failed to find info object with cuid:

AXvZXmnw0m5FlCfZzIxMzBI (Error: INF )

All are in good and same as development system but still not working and getting same error message. Then after assigning user to administrator group it works.

 

I have checked all the possible area about the user security even I tried to provide full control access to those area but no luck.

 

  • Folder security
  • Member of user group
  • Connection security
  • Universe Security
  • Webi application security

 

It only work with administrator group. apparently it looks security issue but strange I could not find anything missing from security or authorization lack.

If anyone have any idea , kindly help me .

How to activate the "New rule" button to create formatting rules?

I want to create a new rule on a measure to format it but under Analysis > Conditional tabs I don't have the New Rules button.

 

How can I activate it?

Adding scale break on diagram

Hi All,

 

Is it possible to add  a scale break in a webi diagram with BI 4.0 ?

 

 

I have a bar Chart where the values range from 10 to 10000 and the lower values are almost not visible at all. Is there a stadnadr solution for such Problems ?

BO XI 4.1 - Objects can not be deleted into queries

Hello,

 

 

I am using BO XI 4.1 and I am facing a strange issue on BIlaunchpad.

 

For a reason I do not understand, I want to delete several objects on a query and when I press the button "delete" on keybord or click on the cross above the table, nothing happens and my object remains.

No error message, nothing...just like if I have done nothing

 

I hope my problem is clear...

Compare data of excel and universe query

Hi Experts,

 

I am having 2 data provider in webi, one is from universe query and other from excel. In excel we have one column called "Match-Key" and its description. Match-Key is built on concatenation of other columns in same excel.

In universe query I have same set of columns using which "Match-key" can be created in this side.

What I need is to compare Match-Key of univ. query with excel Match-Key and keep data of universe query where universe_query Match-Key is matching with excel Match-Key.

Also show the Description of Match-Key from excel in report whose Match-Keys are matched.

 

I have created universe_query Match-Key using variable. Created one another variable where I have given following formula:

 

Check_key = If(Excel.Match-Key = Univquery.Match-Key;1;0) and given filter in report Check_key = 1.

But it is doing nothing in report. Data remains same in report.

Please guide me to come over the issue.

Hi All,

 

 

I had Created a webi report on Top of the universe

I had Selected Block of table and Created Bi Web Service

when there is new value in the Data base it is reflecting in Webi Report But in Reflecting in Bi Web service

How to Resolve this situation

I had Created Dash Board with the QAAS Link

there is No data changes takes place in Bi Web Service Link When I saw the Test Data .

 

 

Please Advise How to get real time data In Bi web Service

I would show all the months(sep, oct and nov) if data is not available from backend

Hi Experts,

 

 

I have a report contains 3-months(sep, oct and nov) data.

 

 

My requirement:- data is not available for the month of oct and nov in database. but i want to show the report as null or zero values.

 

 

example of my requirement output is :

      Sep Oct Nov

         0   0    10

         0   0    20

         0   0    20

TOTAL 0 0    50

 

 

but i got only 1-month(Nov) in my report:

FILTER AT INPUT CONTROL

Dear Expert,

 

I have created Webi Report and I have created Input control based on project and plant.

 

Example , Project A, B , C, D

and Plant A.a,A.b,A.c,B.a,B.b,C.a,C.b,D.a,D.b

 

When in input control I am selection Project A then in plant Input control it should display A.a,A.b,A.c but Instead of that its displaying all the plant.

 

Please guide me how to resolve this issue.

#Multivalue error & while solving this error getting duplicate records

Hi Experts,

 

I am building 1 report in BI Launchpad 4.1 and  I am getting #MULTIVALUE error.

Requirement : Incident Management Report PFB for the requirement :

Priority wise count of Incident and and also need to distinguish between within Target and Missed Target where the qualification for Missed Target is Measurement Status = "Missed" Or "Missed Goal" then "Missed Target" else remaining will come under "Within Target"

 

While developing this report I am getting below error:

To solve this error I have added measuremetnt status column in this report then #multivalue error gone but it is giving duplicate records, counts for priority and not combining count of within target and missed target. PFB for the same :

If I am going for cross tab it is giving me data as I wanted PFB for the same but I want to add hyperlink to missed target values and as I have created bucket vaiable I am unable to add link to a single column i.e. "Missed Target" . If any one knows how to give link in cross tab to a single column from bucket variable please help

Unable to uninstall BO 4 Client tools

Hi,

I need to install BO 4

 

Client tools on my system. While installing i got the following runtime error at the end.

I found the following thread http://scn.sap.com/thread/3179027 and some other suggestions and updated my Visual C++ Distributables . Now i need to do a fresh reinstall of the client tools but the issue is I am not able to uninstall the existing version.I get the following error

I hev already tried updating some xml files as suggested in a few online forums but it hasnt fixed the issue.

Any ideas how to fix this.Thanks!

BO 4.1: conflict restricted key figures and BEx variables

Hi all,

 

We are experiencing an issue in our BO system, recently upgraded to BO 4.1 SP03.

Our reports are built over BEx Queries (OLAP connections).  In some queries there are restricted key figures restricted by an specific Char, and also, in the same Query, that Char is in filter variable.

For example:

RKF1: Net Value restricted by Char Functional Area = 1

RKF2: Net Value restricted by Char Functional Area = 2

RKF3: Net Value restricted by Char Functional Area = 3

Selection screen:

Variable Functional Area.

 

If I run the Query and in the Variable I select Func. Area = 3, then RKF1 and RKF2 display 0, and RKF3 shows values.  I mean, Query BEx is working fine.

 

However, BO is not understanding the Variable, and is always taking into consideration the Char value included in the RKF.

For example:

If I run the BO report and in the Variable I select Func. Area = 3, all the three RKF show values.

 

 

We were using BO 4.0 SP5 previous month and it was working fine, it's happening since we upgraded our BO system.

 

Do you know how to solve this?

Hi Team,

 

Please help me here to resolve the following issue.

 

I have three objects like product code,Manufacturing date,delivery date.

 

Ex:

Header 1Header 2Header 3
product codemanufacturing datedelivery date

100508/07/201509/07/2015

 

 

need to generate delivery date so that need to write the formula based on product code and manufacturing date.If manufacturing date is Friday then delivery should display next business day(i.e Monday).Please help me out.

Format Year

Hi Experts,

 

I want to show only month and year in my report. For this I have used month() and Year() function in my report.

PFB for the logic :

 

=Month(Date)+ " : " + Year(Date)

 

It is giving me output like :April : 2,015

 

I don't want that comma in the year. Can anyone suggest formating for this ?

LOV's show hierarchy twice

Hi Experts

 

We have created list of values (custom sql) for our requirement and mapped to parameters with same name. On some LOV's, we have hierarchy that needs to be shown. For instance for Sales district,

 

Country->Forecast Group->Sales Organization->Sales District

 

Input starts from country to sales organization.

When used, it shows country twice to all respective objects that has link to these LOV's. And more importantly it happens only at last level, say sales district. We Country is shown twice to choose.

 

Tried checking my custom sql and other mismatch if any but couldn't figure out the reason. Can anyone please help us?

 

Note: We have SAP Business Objects 4.0 SP6 version and Oracle 10g as database.

Problem with "New Rule" button disappearing for Conditional Formatting

I created a Business Objects (Version: 14.1.4.1327) report and when I began applying formatting to that document, I clicked on the New Rule button to apply conditional formatting. My browser locked up and when I went back into the report after restarting the browser, the New Rule button is no longer there.

 

  1. Any ideas for why the New Rule button disappears and how I can get it back?

 

This is not the first time I've had to re-create the report to "get" the New Rule button back, only to have it disappear again.

 

This seems to be report specific (and not role based, nor Java based), as I can create a completely new report and the New Rule button appears in that report (I just need it to stop disappearing or a way to easily make it re-appear without re-creating the report).

 

Any thoughts would be great.

How can I give a user "Save report" right?

Hi,

 

I want to give a right to a BO user to save a webi report after he refreshes reports.

I do not want to give a user administrator right because he can delete report after admin right.

So, I gave him "View on demand right" but "Save" Button is grey for him, he can only see the "Save As" button.

 

How can I give him "Save Report" right?

I have a requirement to print page number by section : I tried this but it showing # RECURSIVE ERROR.

 

="Page: " + Page() + " of " + NumberOfPages() In Section
